The program consists of two sub-courses in scientific main subjects and accompanying coursework in educational science, totaling 120 credit points. Overview
As a student in our program, you will benefit from the Center for Teacher Training (ZLB), a central hub for interdisciplinary topics, school internships, and practical experience. Our curriculum emphasizes research-oriented teaching and offers additional practical relevance through student and teaching-learning laboratories. Through our partnerships with EUCOR universities, you will have the opportunity to participate in international exchanges and gain valuable insights from diverse perspectives.
Admission Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in teaching-related field with at least 180 credits
- Minimum MINT achievements of 42 credits
- Subject didactics NwT: at least 4 credits
- Proof of participation in the Karlsruhe Individual Aptitude Check for Teachers (KAiAC-T) or equivalent
- Proficiency in the German language (Level B1 for foreign nationals)
- First subject: specialist sciences (20 LP)
- First subject: subject didactics (7 LP)
- Second subject: specialist sciences (20 LP)
- Second subject: subject didactics (7 LP)
- Educational sciences (33 LP)
- School internship semester (16 LP)
- Master’s thesis (17 LP)
Tuition fee per semester:
