Overview
The Master of Creative Writing (MCW) is meticulously designed for writers passionately engaged in crafting substantial creative writing projects, spanning novels, short story collections, full-length creative nonfiction works, or poetry collections.
Led by the distinguished fiction writer and essayist, Paula Morris, and co-supervised by former Poet Laureate Selina Tusitala Marsh for poets, the program provides a dynamic platform for writers to convene through workshops, seminars, and interactions with local and international literary figures, film, radio, and theatre practitioners, and luminaries from the publishing and literary arts world.
Admission Requirements
- IELTS 6.5 and the writing test score 6.0
- C2 Proficiency – Cambridge English Qualifications with pass grade A, B or C.
- C1 Advanced – Cambridge English Qualifications with pass grade A, B or C.
- TOEFL iBT 90 and the writing test score 20
- You must have completed an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject from a recognised university (or similar institution).
The MCW is a one-year, full-time programme of study with entry in Semester Two only. You will enrol in CREWRIT 797 Creative Writing (120 points).
