Admission Requirements
- the degree of Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Built Environment Studies with at least Second Class (Honours) or
- a first cycle degree classified at least at Second Class (Honours) or Category II obtained from the University of Malta, or from any other higher education institution approved by Senate for this purpose in Architecture, Urban Design, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Conservation, Cultural Heritage Management, Built Heritage, Construction, Property Management, Built Environment, Environmental Design, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure or in any other area deemed relevant by the Faculty Board or
- a qualification deemed by Senate, on the recommendation of the Faculty Board, to be comparable to the qualifications.
Applicants in possession of a first cycle degree classified with Third Class (Honours) or Category III in any area of study, may also be allowed to join the Course provided that they are first admitted into a Preparatory Programme and they shall become eligible to join the Masterҳ course on successful completion of the Preparatory Programme, if an average mark of at least 55% is obtained.
Applicants may be asked to demonstrate competence in those skills required by the nature of the proposed research via an extended interview and the submission of appropriate documentation, provided that where deficiencies are identified applicants shall be required to take specific study-units intended to compensate for the deficit.
Applicants whose first degree was obtained more than 10 years previous to their application for the Course may also be admitted, provided that they provide sufficient proof of their competence to follow the Course with profit. The Faculty Board may, at its discretion, require such applicants to follow a Preparatory Programme.
