Overview

Seed the future of global food innovation with our Master’s in Food Innovation. In just 12 months, starting in either February or July, including a summer semester from November to February, you’ll acquire the technical skills and nutritional knowledge essential for success in the food industry. Gain insights into market challenges, food quality, composition, processing safety, human nutrition, and sensory evaluation. This program positions you to tackle issues in developing new food products and equips you to graduate with the ability to thrive in both national and international companies. Admission Requirements

  • A relevant New Zealand level 7 bachelor’s degree or recognised equivalent with a B average or better in the 300 level and final year (full-time equivalent) courses
  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall, with no individual component less than 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT Overall score of 80 (with at least 21 in Writing and 18 in Speaking)
  • Cambridge English Overall score of 176, with no individual component less than 169
  • Pearson Test of English 58 overall score – with no communicative skill less than 50
  • NZCEL Level 5

You are required to complete 180 credits of taught courses from the schedules to the regulations for the Master of Science (Food Innovation) over three semesters.

You can complete the programme in 12 months if you start in February or July which includes a summer semester which runs from November to February.
