The Master’s Programme in Environomical Pathways for Sustainable Energy Systems (SELECT) empowers engineers with hands-on expertise in solving real-world energy challenges. Recognized as the #2 program in the Energy and Natural Resources category in Western Europe (EdUniversal Best Masters Ranking 2021), SELECT equips students with the skills to make a meaningful impact on current and future energy systems. The curriculum explores the intersection of technical solutions, societal challenges, innovation, and commerce, fostering a deep understanding of engineers’ role and responsibility in a more sustainable energy industry.

Admission Requirements

  • The bachelor’s degree must be equivalent to 180 ECTS credits or three years of full-time study.
  • The degree must give eligibility to apply for master’s degree studies at university in the awarding country.
    IELTS Academic: overall score 6.5, and writing score 5.5.
  • TOEFL iBT (Internet-based Test): 92, and 22 for Writing
  • Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE A): 62, and 54 for Writing

You will join students from all over the world at two different universities and one of  Europe’s leading business schools. You will study the first year either at KTH, UPC or TU/e and continue the second year in another partner university, specializing in the topic of your choice. At Aalto you will focus on sustainable biomass processing, or may choose a wider view on energy.
