Experience a unique, international double degree journey with the Bachelor’s Programme in Software and Systems Engineering, a collaborative effort between our institution and the Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) in China. As a student, you’ll earn degree certificates from both universities upon fulfilling the degree requirements. The entire program unfolds in the vibrant city of Lahti, Finland, offering a truly global educational experience that transcends borders.

Admission Requirements

  • 4 Grades in Physics with a Pass in Advanced Mathematics OR 4 Grades in Chemistry with a Pass in Advanced Mathematics (not applicable for computational engineering) OR 4 Grades in Advanced Mathematics.
  • IELTS Academic: Minimum overall score of 6.0 with a minimum writing score of 5.5.
  • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 80.
  • PTE Academic: Minimum score of 60.

The Bachelor’s Programme in Software and Systems Engineering takes three years, and graduates receive a degree from two universities. The programme leads to the degree of Bachelor of Science in Technology, B.Sc. (Tech.), which is 180 ECTS credits. The programme includes general, intermediate specialisation, minor, language and elective studies as well as a Bachelor’s thesis at the end of the studies.
