  • Admission to undergraduate courses at the University of Tasmania necessitates qualifications equivalent to a 12th year of education in Australia.   • Phase 1 – Pre-sea education and training at the Newham Campus (Launceston)
  • Phase 2 – Shipboard Operational Experience / Workbook units – Sea-time*
  • Phase 3 – Engineer Watchkeeper education and training at the Newnham Campus (Launceston)
  • Phase 4 – Shipboard Operational Experience / Workbook units – Sea-time*
  • Phase 5 – Class 2 /Class 1 education and training at the Newnham Campus (Launceston)
