Admission Requirements

  • To study the PGDipIST you will need to have completed a bachelor’s degree with a Grade Point Average of B or better in 60 points of 300-level Information Systems or other related courses, or have another related qualification.
  • CAE or CPE: Score of 176 with a minimum of 169 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
  • IELTS Academic: An average score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
  • NZAPA: English New Zealand Accredited Pathway Assessment Level 3
  • NZCEL: Level 5
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic): PTE with an overall score of 58
  • TOEFL iBT: Total minimum score of 90, minimum score of 19 in reading, writing and listening
  • 60 points from 600-level INFO courses
  • 30 points from MBIS 601–699 and COSC480 Computer Programming
  • Remaining courses from INFO, MBIS, COSC, and SENG 400 and 600-level courses.
