Choose from specialized tracks such as Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, Generalist, or Nurse Administrator. Our curriculum focuses on professionalism, research, theory impact on practice, leadership in quality improvement, information management, healthcare policy, and principles for individuals, groups, and communities.
Admission Requirements
For MSN-Generalist and MSN-Nurse Administrator tracks:
- Associate degree/diploma from a CHEA-accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Achieve a final grade of B (3.0 GPA) or better in the first course (NURS 500 Essentials of Professional Nursing) at Franklin.
For MSN-Family Nurse Practitioner, MSN-Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, and MSN-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner tracks:
- Associate degree/diploma from a regionally accredited institution with a final cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Achieve a final grade of B (3.0 GPA) or better in the first course (NURS 500 Essentials of Professional Nursing) at Franklin.
Conditional enrollment available for applicants with a 2.5 GPA or higher. Applicants below 2.5 GPA can petition for conditional enrollment.
