Immerse yourself in the Master’s Degree Programme, specializing in Molecular Medicine with optional orientations in Computational Biomedicine. Achieve the perfect equilibrium between theoretical studies and practical training. In advanced-level courses, grasp the principles of disease development at the molecular and cellular level, delve into cell and tissue imaging, explore genome-wide methods, and master computer-aided data analysis. Learn to articulate scientific data effectively in both written and verbal formats.

Admission Requirements

  • All applicants should have at least Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in an applicable field (e.g. biomedicine, cell biology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, biochemistry) corresponding to at least 3 years’ of full‐time academic studies (equivalent of 180 ECTS credit units in the Finnish university system) obtained at an internationally recognized and accredited university or higher education institution. Applicants having a Bachelor’s degree from a Finnish University of Applied Sciences or Polytechnic are not electable.

  • TOEFL iBT: 92 (min. 22 in writing) *
  • PTE (Pearson Test of English, academic): 62 (min. 54 in writing)

The Master’s Degree Programme in Biomedicine is a two-year full-time study programme. The Master’s degree in biomedicine consists of 120 ECTS credits of studies in one main subject, Molecular Medicine. The studies consist of mandatory major subject studies including the Master’s thesis project, optional studies, and studies on communication and presentation skills. The student can choose to specialize in either Molecular Medicine or Computational Biomedicine.
