In response to New Zealand’s growing demand for engineering professionals, the MProfEng program focuses on capacity and capability-building. Through consultations with industrial partners, we’ve tailored the curriculum to empower graduates to contribute effectively to employers and society. This program emphasizes immediate applicability, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to make a positive impact.

Admission Requirements

  • You must have completed a four-year bachelors degree in engineering at a recognised university (or similar institution)
  • IELTS 6.5 and the writing test score 6.0
  • C2 Proficiency – Cambridge English Qualifications with pass grade A, B or C.
  • C1 Advanced – Cambridge English Qualifications with pass grade A, B or C.
  • TOEFL iBT  90 and the writing test score 20

The MProfEng will be offered with 180-point and 240-point options, and will allow for full- and part-time study options. Students with three-year Bachelors degrees, such as a three-year BE(Civil), will complete a 240-point MProfEng. Students who have already completed a four-year BE degree which is (typically) not Washington Accord accredited will complete a 180-point MProfEng.
