Admission Requirements

  • A relevant New Zealand level 7 bachelor’s degree or recognised equivalent with a B average or better in the 300 level and final year (full-time equivalent) courses
  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall, with no individual component less than 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT Overall score of 80 (with at least 21 in Writing and 18 in Speaking)
  • Cambridge English Overall score of 176, with no individual component less than 169
  • Pearson Test of English 58 overall score – with no communicative skill less than 50
  • NZCEL Level 5

You’ll complete two compulsory courses (40 credits), one in Semester 1 and one in Semester 2.

You will also complete four or more courses (80 credits) chosen from a core list, plus up to three elective courses (60 credits) from the Master’s degree courses offered across the university.
