Over two years of full-time study, you’ll gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills essential for a successful career in professional counseling. Designed for individuals with a background in social work, psychology, human services, nursing, or related fields, our program offers a strong foundation in integrative approaches to counseling and applied psychotherapy.

With a strong emphasis on practical experience, you’ll have the opportunity to complete over 360 hours of supervised clinical placements in government and private agencies. These placements provide a valuable opportunity to apply counseling theory and research skills in real-world settings. Taught in collaboration with UQ’s School of Psychology, our program is accredited by both the Australian Counselling Association and the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.
