The Wits School of Geosciences stands as the largest and most diverse academic Earth Science institution in Africa. Our Geophysics postgraduate program equips students with essential skills for environmental protection, mine safety, and geotechnical investigation. Admission Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science with Honors in geosciences subjects or a related field.
- In exceptional cases, applicants with 4-year degrees in physics, mathematics, chemistry, or biological sciences may be considered based on exceptional motivation.
- Applicants with degrees from other faculties spanning at least four academic years may apply.
- Identification and approach of a supervisor from the School of Geosciences or the Evolutionary Studies Institute are required before application.
