The MSc (and MA) degree endeavors to provide advanced professional training in earth, atmospheric, hydro-environmental, and global change sciences. Admission Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science Honours in a related field with a minimum weighted average of 65% is required for admission.
- Identify and approach a supervisor from the School before submitting your application.
- Applications are accepted throughout the year.
- For admission to a Masters degree, applicants should ideally have at least 65% in Geography Honours.
- Students from other institutions may require additional background, subject to the discretion of the Head of School.
- Students without Geography Honours may be considered for Masters if they have an Honours equivalent in a suitable discipline. Applicants from outside the University of the Witwatersrand must submit examples of written work for consideration.
