  • Honours degree in either IR or Political Studies.
  • For automatic admission, an average of above 70% for the Honours year with at least 65% for any research component.
  • Consideration for admission with an Honours degree in another social science or LLB, provided there is a major in International Relations or Political Studies in the undergraduate degree.
  • The School’s Bachelor of Arts degree is a three-year programme studied on a full-time basis. The purpose of this degree is to ground students in the study of humankind’s history, societies and arts, and this degree forms the basis for all study within Wits’ School of Social Sciences. The School also offers Honours, Masters and PhD postgraduate programmes.
