Immerse yourself in the world of science with our comprehensive Bachelor of Science program. At UC, you’ll have access to a vast network of field stations spanning from Antarctica to Nigeria, providing unparalleled opportunities for hands-on learning and research. From your very first semester, you’ll have the chance to engage in practical experiences, research projects, and laboratory and field work, allowing you to ‘do science’ and make meaningful contributions to the scientific community. Expand your horizons with global study experiences, including exchanges to partner universities, and tailor your degree with minors or additional subjects in various disciplines such as Arts, Commerce, Health Sciences, and more.
Admission Requirements
- Admission to UC with University Entrance (or equivalent) is required to enrol.
- CAE or CPE: Minimum score of 169 with at least 162 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
- IELTS Academic: Academic with an average score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in reading, writing, listeningNZAPA: English New Zealand Accredited Pathway Assessment Level 3
- NZCEL: Level 4 – Academic endorsement.
- Pearson Test of English (Academic): PTE with an overall score of 50
- TOEFL iBT: Total minimum score of 80, with at least 19 in reading, writing and listening
- Compulsory course: SCIE101 Science, Society and Me
- Major subjects: Choose from a wide range of disciplines including Astronomy, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, Environmental Science, Geology, Mathematics, Psychology, Statistics, and more.
- Minor subjects: Optional minors available in various fields such as Animation, Business Analytics, Cultural Studies, Entrepreneurship, Health Education, Linguistics, Music, Public Health, Sociology, and many others.
- Other subjects: Some courses from related disciplines such as Accounting, Engineering, Forestry, Health Sciences, and Soil Science may also count towards your BSc degree.
