Overview

Embark on an internationally-recognized journey that equips you with the skills and expertise in sport coaching, physical activity, health promotion, and education. Address pressing issues such as mental health, fitness, and nutrition while exploring diverse aspects of the program, including coaching, alternative sports, sports media, exercise science, nutrition, gender, sexuality, Māori movement, dance, and youth health.

This three-year programme is designed for students to gain specialised knowledge in one area of interest while also developing a broad general knowledge of the worlds of sport, health and physical education.

In addition to compulsory core courses, students can choose one of five specialised pathways or opt for a range of courses without specifiying a pathway.

To complete a BSportHPE degree students need to pass courses totalling at least 360 points.
