In your first year, you’ll immerse yourself in all five studio specializations, allowing you to discover your passion before honing your skills in your chosen area from the second year onwards. With 24-hour access to personalized studio spaces and state-of-the-art facilities, including technician workshops, darkrooms, and computer labs, unleash your artistic potential and bring your visions to life.

Admission Requirements

  • Admission to UC with University Entrance (or equivalent) is required to enrol.
  • CAE or CPE: Minimum score of 169 with at least 162 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
  • IELTS Academic: Academic with an average score of 6.0, with a minimum of 5.5 in reading, writing, listeningNZAPA: English New Zealand Accredited Pathway Assessment Level 3
  • NZCEL: Level 4 – Academic endorsement.
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic): PTE with an overall score of 50
  • TOEFL iBT: Total minimum score of 80, with at least 19 in reading, writing and listening
  • Fine Arts Intermediate Year: FINA101 What is Practice?, FINA102 Communities of Practice, FINA103 Studio Practice, Two 100-level ARTH courses
  • Second Year: One 200-level course in ARTH (or CINE if majoring in Moving Image or Photography)
  • Majors: Moving Image, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, Sculpture
