Join the collaboration between the School of Materials Science and Engineering and the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering in our integrated five-year double degree program. Upon completion, you’ll hold both a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Materials Science and Engineering and a Master of Biomedical Engineering.

The materials science and engineering component delves into the study of diverse materials, from metallic to bio-inspired, exploring their structure, properties, synthesis, and applications. Students must complete 240 UOC.

Students are required to complete the following:

1. Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Materials Science and Engineering – 168 UOC
2. Master of Biomedical Engineering – 72 UOC

There is an overlap of least 12 units of credit of Thesis courses between both cores. As these courses only require completion once, the additional UOC can be taken as electives courses.
