Overview

Customize your educational journey by choosing from one of four minors: English and Literacy, Humanities and Social Sciences, Mathematics and Numeracy, or Science. From day one, you’ll embark on supervised classroom placements, gradually taking on more responsibility until you’re ready for your final-year professional experience placement. In this capstone, you’ll lead a class independently, applying everything you’ve learned with minimal guidance.

Admission Requirements

Completion of Queensland Year 12 (or equivalent), including:
- General English subject (Units 3 & 4, C)
- One of General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods, or Specialist Mathematics (Units 3 & 4, C)
- One of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science, Marine Science, Earth and Environmental Science, or Psychology (Units 3 & 4, C)
Non-academic entry criteria as per QTAC’s Initial Teacher Education (ITE) advice page.
English language proficiency, with an IELTS score of 7.5 overall (speaking 8, listening 8, reading 7, writing 7), or equivalent.
