The Applied Geosciences Master’s Program at KIT offers a holistic approach to geological exploration and research, focusing on three distinct fields: Sustainable Energy, Raw Materials and Storage; Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology; and Mineralogy and Geochemistry. Admission Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in applied geosciences or a related field with a minimum of 180 ECTS credit points.
  • Minimum coursework requirements in geosciences, physics and/or chemistry, and mathematics.
  • Proficiency in either German (B1 level) or English (B2 level) for international applicants.
  • Numerical methods in geosciences
  • Map charting and geodata processing
  • Project survey or internship
  • Electives: Energy, Resources & Storage; Hydro- & Engineering Geology; Mineralogy & Geochemistry
