Fully accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), our programme is designed to cultivate students into reflective practitioners in the planning profession and related disciplines. Whether pursued full-time or part-time, this course is ideal for those aiming to gain a professional qualification that opens doors to careers in spatial planning, urban regeneration, economic development, housing, and transport. The structure allows students to blend core modules in spatial planning with a specialist focus in areas such as urban regeneration, community-based planning, economic development, and urban resilience. Admission Requirements

  • A 2:1 Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • For a Graduate Diploma, a degree or diploma or equivalent qualification in an appropriate field is required.
  • Graduate Diploma students who achieve Masters level in their modules may be transferred to the Masters level.

International Students:

  • Standard English language requirements apply (IELTS: 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band).
  • TOEFL: 80 overall with no less than 19 in Reading, 19 in Listening, 21 in Speaking, and 19 in Writing.
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) including online: Academic 64 with no less than 59 in all four skills.
  • Cambridge English (exams taken from 2015): Advanced – minimum overall score of 169, with no less than 162 in any component.
