Overview
Respiratory conditions rank among the leading causes of death and poor health globally, making it essential to enhance care quality and expand the respiratory workforce. Our programme offers flexible learning paths through the 60-credit PG Certificate, 120-credit PG Diploma, or the comprehensive 180-credit MSc. Students pursuing the MSc will undertake additional modules and complete a dissertation.
Our programme aims to provide an in-depth understanding of common conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and sleep apnoea, alongside acute respiratory issues and complex lung conditions like TB, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, cystic fibrosis, and allergies. You’ll gain practical skills through case-based learning and supervised clinical protocol design, mastering the interpretation of lung function tests and the execution of quality improvement and service design projects.

Admission Requirements
- A 2:1 in a BSc or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., nursing, physiotherapy, biomedical science, or medical degree).
- Other classes of degree and/or relevant qualifications and experience in respiratory medicine may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- English language requirements:
- IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in each component).
- Alternatively, completion of the English for Academic Purposes Presessional course tailored to meet the programme’s requirements.
