Admission Requirements

  • You will normally need to have a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours or Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in relevant subjects, or in exceptional cases have qualified for the award of another appropriate qualification.
  • CAE or CPE: Score of 176 with a minimum of 169 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
  • IELTS Academic: An average score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in reading, writing, listening and speaking
  • NZAPA: English New Zealand Accredited Pathway Assessment Level 3
  • NZCEL: Level 5
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic): PTE with an overall score of 58
  • TOEFL iBT: Total minimum score of 90, minimum score of 19 in reading, writing and listening
  • Unendorsed Option:
    • At least 30 points chosen from an approved list of electives
    • Maximum of 30 points chosen from a secondary list of electives
  • Endorsed Options (Fire Engineering or Mechanical Engineering):
    • At least 45 points of subject courses
    • Maximum of 15 points from an approved list of electives
