In collaboration with Allied Health Professions Australia (AHPA), our Master of Mental Health Nursing ensures you learn from experts in the field, guiding you in creating and implementing clinical plans. The program, open to Division 1 registered nurses, can be completed in 1.5 years full-time or 2–3 years part-time, allowing you to extend your skills through 12 units of study.

This course facilitates a deeper understanding of mental health through systematic analysis and reflection on the relationship between theory and clinical practice. You have the opportunity to exit at a Diploma level with advanced specialist skills or complete the Master of Mental Health Nursing to attain a clinical consultancy level of practice.

Admission Requirements

  • Successful completion of an Australian bachelor’s degree in nursing (or equivalent).

  • Be a Division 1 Registered Nurse.
  • Have a current practicing certificate with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
