Aligned with the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) developed by the Project Management Institute (PMI), this program prepares you for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, a globally recognized credential. Overview
The Master of Project Management (MPM) program comprises 10 courses (30 credit hours), including six core courses, two elective courses, and two business courses. You may also opt to undertake a research project in lieu of one elective. The comprehensive curriculum is designed to provide both fundamental and advanced knowledge, offering two certificates upon completion of the core courses: a Certificate in Project Management Fundamentals and a Certificate in Advanced Project Management.
This program accepts students with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, computer science, or information technology. By integrating both engineering and business perspectives, the MPM program caters to the UAE market’s needs, where engineering drives all industry sectors, and managerial positions are crucial. Graduates are trained to lead and manage projects, contributing significantly to the UAE’s engineering-based industries and beyond.
Admission Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree: In a related discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 on a 4.00-point scale from an accredited university recognized by the UAE’s Ministry of Education – Higher Education Affairs.
- English Language Proficiency: An official TOEFL (IBT) score of 79 or ITP score of 550, Academic IELTS score of 6.0, or an English EmSat score of 1400, taken within the last two years.
- Conditional Admission: Students with an EmSAT score of 1250, IELTS 5.5, or equivalent may receive conditional admission for one semester, allowing them to take up to six credit hours.
