About this Study Course
Building on the foundational knowledge from a Japan- or Korea-related bachelor’s degree, the TEACH program enhances students’ expertise by introducing them to the culture and history of a second country—Korea for Japanese studies majors and Japan for Korean studies majors. This bicultural and interdisciplinary approach is further enriched by incorporating a European perspective. Students engage deeply with both historical and contemporary cultural studies, developing critical analytical skills and a nuanced understanding of intercultural interactions. Graduates are well-prepared for diverse professional pathways, equipped with the skills to work in fields such as intercultural communication, international development, cultural heritage management, and academia.
