How to Apply for College Study in Australia?

*How to Apply for College Study in Australia?
*

Making the decision to attend college is a big...

How to Apply for College Study in Australia?

Making the decision to attend college is a big one, and taking a further step to attend an Australian college in order to earn a college degree is another one. Just as there are steps you must take in order to apply to college in the United States or Canada, so too there are specific areas where you will want to focus attention in order to get into the Australian college of your choice.

One of the best ways to get started is to get professional help from an educational program that offers study abroad opportunities in Australia. It is best to find a counselor at this sort of program who has a great deal of experience in studying in Australia, and as well understands all of the colleges and their programs that they offer. You are going to want to be able to converse with this counselor regularly, and most especially as you work your way through the application process.

You will need help with academic planning if you will be going to college in Australia. If you are currently in a college degree program in the US or Canada, you will need to find out which classes will meet with your degree requirements, and how those credits you earn overseas will be transferred to your home college. Your counselor should be able to help you find the right program for your course of study in Australia.

Another part of the application process deals with your housing. You will want to make sure that when you arrive in Australia, that your housing is arranged in advance, so that you do not have to worry about finding a place to stay in addition to fitting into a new educational environment at the same time. Select a program that offers guaranteed housing.

Applying for college in Australia also means taking a look at paying for the education you receive. You will need to find out from your program counselor how much it costs to not only attend college overseas, but also what you will need for room and board, personal care items, and any other travel and entertainment that you want to pursue while in Australia. Many times, financial aid from your home college can be applied to study overseas, so you will want to ask your program counselor about that.

You will normally apply directly to the Australian college that you select to attend, and they each have specific requirements in terms of academic prerequisites, test scores and other entry requirements unique to each educational institution. An overseas study program website is the place to go to begin planning and getting more information when you wish to apply to school in Australia.

Strengthens Family Bonds with Fun filled Family activities

A close knit family is a source...

Strengthens Family Bonds with Fun filled Family activities

A close knit family is a source of great joy and fun. To keep the source perennial, family bonds need to be forged and strengthened over time. And the best way to achieve this is through family fun activities. You can carry out several such activities in the form of family games, travel, outings and cooking together.

Importance of Family Fun Activities

Family fun activities help build several sweet and lasting memories. Your children will carry these pleasant memories into adulthood. They will also learn a lot about the values of bonding. Elderly members will love such activities as it will bring them out of their slow and dreary existence. When you enjoy activities with them, they will feel less forlorn.

The Best Way of Having Family Fun

If you keep your family fun activity cheap, simple, and together, you can enjoy it the most. With inexpensive family fun activities you can look forward to have more such activities within a short span of time. However, an expensive activity, once in a while, will add spice to your bout of activities.

Types of Family Fun

For frequent family activities, you need to look for opportunities, around your community. You can look for annual events or visit to community parks. Also keep note of school or church activities. These may range from concerts to plays and musical programs to exhibitions. Take your family out to any one of these and help them enjoy the outing.

When you plan activities with your family, you can also include friends. Together you can partake in kickball game or backyard treasure hunt. Dividing the participants into father’s team and a mother’s team, and watching one over triumph over the other can be great fun in your own back yard. Elders can sit and have fun watching young ones in action.

A trip to the amusement park can be highly entertaining. Here you can have wild, bold and daring fun with your children.

A great and simple way to involve seniors in your fun activity is to take them out for a walk to the park. You can sit and have a chat with them, while your children play around. This can do a world of good to drive their loneliness out. When you play indoor family games, you can also get them involved and help them have a chuckle or two.

Once a while, take a leave and plan a vacation with your family members. Choose a place where both young and old can enjoy alike.

Nothing can keep you and your family happier, than having few fun filled activities often.

Immigration Plan of a Poor Student

*Immigration Plan of a Poor Student

International Students Planning their immigration to...

Immigration Plan of a Poor Student

International Students Planning their immigration to study in USA, UK and other 1st world countries have to meet certain academic and financial criteria. Apart from being eligible to get admission in certain educational program on the basis of their qualification, grade and merits, an international student must display his financial strength to pay his Tuition and living expenses for at least first one year of his study program.

Many eligible and desirous students are unable to demonstrate their financial support to pay to the College / University approximately US$3600.00 which is normally the cost of tuition for their first semester. They do not have good Bank statements and there is no immediate relative to provide them affidavit of financial support. Hence their immigration desire on student Visa remains a dream.

I will narrate an immigration plan of a poor student from Egypt who met me in Los Angeles, California, USA during January 2005.

One of my friends introduced this young tall boy of about 23 years age, saying that Mr. Sam has arrived in USA in December 2004 on a student Visa to study English
As a Second Language course of one year duration. He needs some guidance to achieve his immigration objectives in USA. I asked Mr. Sam to briefly explain his study plan and his immigration objectives to me.

He started speaking English in a very poor accent. He told me that he had very little money in Egypt and he is only a High School graduate. This means that he had gone to school for only 12 years. But he was very serious to learn English speaking in pure American accent fluently. He wanted to know the business culture, society
And relationship building with American business communities. Then he wants to go back to his country and operate a Home based Call center for Telemarketing in USA. And he wants to achieve his immigration objectives during his legal authorized stay period of one year in USA.

He told me with a broad smile that his total expenses of Course admission and F-1 student Visa cost was just US$950.00 only. He arranged this money from his uncle who also provided an affidavit of support for US$9000.00 only. Before he applied to immigration officer for student Visa, he traveled to a neighboring country to enhance the value of his passport. He said that Blank passports do not impress the interviewing immigration officer at the US embassy.

During his conversation I noticed that he had planed his immigration activities with lot of care and research. He analysis the situation intelligently. He is accurate in defining his immigration targets. He knows what he can do. He planed limited immigration goals. His first semester tuition fee was just US$450.00, which was within his resources.

His arrival cost in USA on student immigration Visa was just US$950.00 only. He intends to go back home within legal stay period of his immigration student Visa.
If we analysis his immigration Aim, we can learn that simple and practical thought process can make your plan workable. You do not have to be ambitious while developing your immigration plan.

I made a guideline plan for him to learn and adjust in business culture of corporate America So that he can develop a good call center with lot of success in Telemarketing for his USA clients. I remember this young man left USA in December 2005. He was speaking English in fluent American accent and had developed deep business relationship with many ready clients who trusted him and were willing to outsource their Telemarketing project in Egypt to his call center.

A poor student had achieved his immigration objectives with hard work and intelligent planning. Those international students who have meager financial resources can follow such Immigration Plans to achieve success in life. Telemarketing projects require understanding of your client business psychology and speaking English in fluent American accent. You can learn both these requirements during your student immigration stay on an ESL course in USA.
You may also develop good personal relationship with your potential Telemarketing customers during your stay in USA. Your large friendship circle with American students will also help you in future Life.

Build your huge assets with good human interpersonal friendly relationship; you will never be poor in Life. Plan your immigration within your resources, you will be always successful. Do what you can easily perform. There is no shortcut to research and hard work. Good Luck to all International Students.

Writing Urdu Poetry

If you decide that you want to be a writer, then poetry is a good place to start. Where do you...

If you decide that you want to be a writer, then poetry is a good place to start. Where do you start? How is American poetry different from Urdu poetry? Why write poetry? You may be asking yourself these questions and more.

Where to Start

When you decide you want to write poetry you should decide if you are planning on writing any other kinds of literature. This will help you to know if you are going to want to stay only with creative writing and help you to figure out if you need to research other kinds of poetry such as Urdu poetry. You can write poetry on any subject if you really want to.

How is American Different from Urdu Poetry?

There really is not that much of a difference because it is all poetry that we can learn from. You may not be able to understand this when you are writing because you may not even know what Urdu poetry really is in the first place. You may need to take the time to research what you want to write weather it would be Urdu poetry or American based poetry. If you are multicultural then you will be able to understand the Urdu poetry better then if you are just reading American based poetry. Urdu poetry is a great place for a person that is going to start writing poetry to start because it will help you to respect what others before you have written as well as what other cultures may say. Take the time to learn Urdu poetry for you and your writing. This will help it to get better in the long run.

Why write it?

There are many reasons that you may chose to write poetry but the main reason is that you just want to write. Many people will not follow their instincts when it comes to writing. They don’t understand that it’s really a feeling and it’s not just something that you can learn to do. You have to be born with a creative edge so that you can easily write your words. If you feel that you are not the best writer but still feel that great need to write then you can take classes to learn how to write your grammar better so that your poetry makes more sense to you and your readers.

When you start with your poetry writing you need to think about what you may have already read before you started writing the poetry. This may include the Urdu poetry that you may have heard about from your family or from your college classes. You should take the time to read these so that you know what people in the past have written as well as knowing what style you may want to write in. The more styles that you read, the more that you will learn and the better writer you will become. Take the time to understand the writing that is around you so that you can be the best writer that you can be.

[B]
Get More Business Result by having Little FUN
[/B

Do you think it's appropriate or professional to have fun in the workplace?

Research has shown that fun at work generally results in an increase of productivity, creativity, loyalty, and morale. Appropriate workplace fun is a key method for energizing workers and putting some life back into their routines.

Here are some additional benefits of having fun at work:

1. Fun fulfills the basic human need to be social

2. Fun can instill a sense of teamwork

3. Fun usually improves communication

4. Fun breaks up boredom that comes from doing repetitive work

5. Fun can dissolve conflict and tension

6. Fun can foster a positive company culture

7. Fun creates an opportunity for networking

The best type of workplace fun creates congratulations and "high fives" among coworkers. It might be a non-competitive ice breaker event scheduled in the office before a company meeting. Or it could be a sporting event that takes place after work with departmental teams that compete at the bowling alley or on the ball field. Lots of different activities can teach employees how working as a team can be fun as well as productive.

Social interaction among coworkers allows for an opportunity to improve one's "Soft Skills", or people skills. Soft skills are the compliment to Hard skills, which are the technical requirements of a job.

When having fun, we get to see our coworkers and managers in a more casual light. This glimpse into their non-business personality may make them seem more human and foster an improved, genuine relationship.

Matt Weinstein, author of the book, Managing to Have Fun, says that many bosses and entrepreneurs find it difficult to have fun at work. He feels they need to learn how to build more fun into the workday and to celebrate successes. If that doesn't happen, Weinstein warns that bosses can drive away the top employees who are responsible for those company successes.

But management can't just mandate that everyone else celebrate and enjoy themselves. The boss must participate, especially in smaller companies. Top management always sets the tone for the entire company, so if their fun isn't genuine or sincere it'll be obvious to everyone else.

The most common problem faces with study abroad in UK involves the issue of meeting living and education expenses. Generally the education expense gets taken care of with help from study abroad consultants who can help acquire UK scholarships, study loans, fees waivers or discounts and sponsorships. But the problem of meeting daily expenses has to be dealt with through family financial support which can be a big strain for all. Most students thus opt for some sort of part time work to meet some of their financial requirements.

There are opportunities for abroad studying students to work in the UK during their studies. Special rules make it possible for them to work while studying. The opportunities available include part-time or vacation work, as well as course-related work placements.

Students can find out about part-time jobs that are available by consulting notice boards around their institution, looking in local newspapers and job centers, and visiting the college or university careers office. Many institutions have their own ‘job shop', which display part-time and holiday vacancies and may issue job vacancy bulletins.

Piece of Advice to students – Please think carefully about how much time will be available for part time job during studies. Success on course should be priority. Your studies may be intensive and demanding and you should be realistic about the amount of time this will leave for part-time work. Many students find that working part-time helps improve their communication skills, but you must be careful not to let work interfere with your studies.

From 3rd March 2010, students studying below degree level or on a foundation degree course can work up to ten hours per week during term time and full-time during the holidays.

Degree level students and above can work up to 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during vacations.

After completion of the course

Students studying in the UK Universities are entitled to visa extension of 2 yrs after completion of their course under Post Study Work Visa Scheme (PSW)

Post-Study Worker (Tier 1)

The category of post-study worker (Tier 1) was introduced in the new points based system and allows the UK to retain the most able international graduates who have studied here and provides a bridge from being a student to becoming a skilled or highly skilled worker.

Abroad studying students who have completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree course from recognized UK colleges may apply as a post-study worker within 12 months of obtaining their qualification.

During their stay here, post-study workers can look for work without needing to have a sponsor. The visa is valid for up to two years and it is expected that students will switch into another tier of the points based system as soon as they can.

Eligibility

To apply under the points based system and be accepted into the post-study worker category, students must pass a points-based assessment and score:

75 points for attributes which include – UK qualification, study at a UK institution, immigration status during UK study and/or research, and the date of award of the qualification

10 points for English language

10 points for available maintenance (funds).

Applicants must demonstrate that they can maintain themselves and their dependants, as they will not have access to state benefits.

As under Tier 1 (post-study worker), once registered in Tier 1 (General) the graduate is free to move around the labor market and employers need only check their documentation to employ them.

Many international students...

Get Permanent Residence | Guide for International Students

Many international students studying in Australia dream of one day becoming permanent residents and staying on in Australia for good. The most common pathway for students is to apply for General Skilled Migration on completion of their studies. Whilst there is a lot of information on immigration on the internet, sometimes it’s difficult to figure out in practice what your chances are and what you need to do next.

You could ask a friend who has applied before, but the rules change so quickly that this can be dangerous. As the processing time for General Skilled Migration gets longer, chances are you won’t find out that you’ve made an error in your application for a year or more after lodgement.

This guide is intended to provide an easy to follow outline of the main things international students need to be aware of in applying for General Skilled Migration. We begin with the top 10 tips for international students thinking of applying for General Skilled Migration:

1. Graduate Skilled Visa: the 18-month Graduate Skilled visa (subclass 485 and also commonly called “TR”) is a very useful way of helping you get enough points to apply for your permanent residence.

2. Critical Skills List (CSL): If you are thinking about choosing a course, think about doing a course which would allow you to pass skills assessment in a CSL occupation (see [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register])

3. Watch out for Exemptions: if you have exemptions or academic credits for overseas studies, these can affect whether you have enough study to apply. Avoid academic credits if at all possible

4. Work Experience: work experience can give you extra points – however, it has to meet certain requirements in terms of skill level, salary paid, hours per week etc. The Department of Immigration looks very carefully at work experience claimed by international students, so your employer can expect a call or site visit for verification

5. Further Study: if you are completing a bachelor degree in Australia, you can get 10 extra points if you do an honours year or masters

6. Professional Year: professional years are available for IT, Accounting and Engineering. Aside from extra points, your application may be processed more quickly if you complete a professional year.

7. State Nomination: states publish lists of occupations in demand and for which they will consider nominating people for temporary or permanent skilled visas. These days it is difficult to get a state nomination, but if you do have one, it means that you don’t need as many points to qualify for migration and your application is processed at the highest level of priority.

8. English Testing: most students will need to do the IELTS test of English language ability ([Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]). Unless you get at least 6 in all 4 components of the IELTS, it will be very difficult to apply even for the skilled graduate visa. You need to think ahead as you may need to wait 3-4 months for a test date – the test is valid for 2 years so you can do it well before you are ready to apply.

9. Bridging Visas: if you lodge an onshore application you will receive a Bridging A visa which gives full work rights in Australia. However, the Bridging A visa ceases if you leave Australia. If you want to travel, you’ll need a Bridging B visa – this costs $90 and you will need to show evidence of the reason you need to travel.

10. Keep up to Date: the rules change constantly, and the Department of Immigration is currently looking at revising the whole General Skilled Program. You can keep up to date by registering for updates on our website [Only Registered Users Can See LinksClick Here To Register]
